Optimizations, less ads, and speed improvements!

At emuparadise we're always working to get the best experience for our users. Over the last week we've been cutting down on ads, kicking out bad advertisers, and generally cleaning up the site. I've also spent a lot of time optimizing our pages to make them faster.

Yesterday, we noticed our downloads going slow and upon looking into it further found that thousands of sites around the internet are sharing our links (direct links to files) and therefore using up the bandwidth that should go to our loyal users.

We've put up some new hotlink protection to make sure that this does not happen. This is to ensure that our users get the best possible download speeds at all times.

The hotlink protection may cause problems if you are using download managers to get your files. Download managers and download resuming will *still work*. All you need to do is make sure you are sending the correct referrer header. Download managers like downthemall! already do this so you should not face any issues with them.

As always, EP Premium users will continue to get 4 download slots and hassle free usage of download managers.
